The Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu has called on Nigerians to remain patriotic and trust the reform process initiated by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the journey to national prosperity is already producing tangible results.
In a broadcast message seen by News Central on Friday, Issa-Onilu acknowledged the difficulties many Nigerians are currently enduring but insisted that the pains are part of a transition toward a better future.
“Nigeria is happening to millions of citizens in many positive ways,” he said. “Our patriotic voices must not be overwhelmed by the vocal few who are purveyors of the negative. When we count our blessings, we do so not in denial of the challenges that our country faces. It is because we understand our collective responsibilities towards our country.”
He emphasised the boldness with which the current government has approached long-standing national challenges.
“In two years, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acted boldly, confronting our most difficult barriers to national development through a combination of reforms,” Issa-Onilu stated. “There’s no denying the unavoidable pains many Nigerians currently face. The good news is that the reforms are working. In all this, there are plenty of positive testimonies.”
He further assured that the NOA would continue to highlight the progress being made across sectors.
“At NOA, we would continue to showcase the gains through real and everyday people. We urge all Nigerians to be positive-minded as we remain steady on the journey to national prosperity. NOA salutes Nigerians for their resilience in this hopeful period,” he concluded.
The NOA’s remarks come as part of wider efforts to foster national unity and support for ongoing reforms in economic and governance structures.
