Tottenham Hotspur have finalised a permanent deal to sign French forward Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, following his successful loan spell with the Europa League winners.
Both clubs confirmed the transfer on Sunday.
The 20-year-old made a significant impact during his loan stint with Spurs last season, scoring three goals in 20 appearances across all competitions after joining in February.
According to German media reports, Tel has committed to a six-year contract with Tottenham, with the transfer fee estimated at approximately 35 million euros ($40.4 million).
Tel initially joined Bayern as a teenager from Rennes, where he scored 16 goals before his move to Spurs. This signing marks another key development for Tottenham, who recently appointed former Brentford boss Thomas Frank as their new manager earlier this week, replacing the sacked Ange Postecoglou.
