Israel Carries Out 26 Massacres in Gaza Over Two Days

Israeli airstrike destroyed the 14-storey Watan Tower, a residential building that also included a number of press and commercial offices, in the Al-Rimal area in central Gaza City, October 8, 2023. Israeli colonial forces declared a "complete siege” on Gaza, denying the enclave’s millions of residents access to food, water and fuel and launched hundreds of airstrikes, killing hundreds and causing the displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinians. On the morning of October 7, the Palestinian resistance led by Hamas launched a surprise attack called the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. Dozens of resistance fighters raided Israeli settlements and thousands of rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip. At least 900 Israelis were killed and more than 100 are being held ass hostages by Hamas in Gaza.

The Gaza government media office reported on Thursday evening that the Israeli occupation forces had conducted 26 lethal assaults across the Gaza Strip in the past 48 hours, resulting in over 300 deaths and leaving hundreds injured or missing.

In a statement provided to the Safa news agency, the office condemned the attacks as part of a continuing policy of deliberate killings, genocide, and ethnic cleansing by the occupying forces.

The majority of the strikes targeted overcrowded shelters and displacement centres, including the Al-Baqa rest area, where tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians had sought refuge.

The statement emphasised that most victims were women and children, all unarmed civilians, underscoring the deliberate nature of attacks on the most vulnerable.

It also highlighted that these assaults coincide with ongoing Israeli attempts to destroy Gaza’s remaining healthcare system, including bombings of hospitals, attacks on medical personnel, and blockades preventing vital supplies from entering the territory.
