American singer Billie Eilish has strongly condemned Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz‘s plan to relocate all Palestinians in Gaza to a camp built on the ruins of Rafah.
Katz had announced to the press on Monday that he had instructed the military to proceed with plans for a “humanitarian city.” This proposed city would initially house approximately 600,000 Palestinians, eventually accommodating the entire 2.1 million population of Gaza.

In response, Eilish expressed her strong disapproval, describing the Israeli minister’s plan as “Horrifying.” She shared a screenshot of the news report on her Instagram page with that very caption. The multiple Grammy-winning artist also appealed for increased aid for Gaza, writing, “Gaza needs clean water.”
Billie Eilish has been consistently vocal about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza since Israel’s invasion. She was notably among the celebrities at the 2024 Oscars who wore a red enamel pin to symbolise their support for a ceasefire in the region.
