American actor Dean Cain, best known for his role as Superman in the 1990s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, has announced he will be joining the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
In an interview with Fox News, Cain said he plans to be sworn in as an ICE agent soon, expressing his support for President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Cain, a well-known conservative, stated that the move was motivated by his belief that the U.S. immigration system is “broken.”
He said his decision was sparked after a viral social media post about an ICE recruitment video.
“This country was built on patriots stepping up… and doing the right thing,” Cain said, adding that he believes Trump is “delivering” on the policies he was elected on.

The announcement comes as the Trump administration intensifies its immigration enforcement.
A CNN analysis of ICE data reveals a significant difference in enforcement tactics across the country.
In states that voted for Trump, agents primarily arrest immigrants in prisons and jails.
However, in Democratic-leaning states, arrests more often occur at worksites, on the streets, and during mass roundups.
A majority of those arrested in these blue states do not have a criminal record. Overall, the data shows that ICE is making more arrests in “red states” than “blue states.”
