Cristiano Ronaldo has shared photographs from his wedding to Georgina Rodríguez.
The couple initially posted an image of their hands wearing matching gold wedding bands on Instagram with the caption “C❤️G”.
The photograph, which garnered over three million likes within 30 minutes of being posted, offered fans the first glimpse of the couple’s private ceremony, which took place on August 11 in Cascais, Portugal.
The wedding date marked the 10th anniversary of their first meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid.

Intimate family ceremony
Vogue magazine published exclusive photographs of the ceremony taken by German photographer Juergen Teller, revealing the intimate nature of the event.
The images showed the couple exchanging vows in the living room of their summer house, surrounded by their five children.
“In the future we will have a big wedding, so we can celebrate with family and friends,” Rodríguez told Vogue.

She described the decision to have a small ceremony: “When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.”
She explained her choice of Teller as their wedding photographer, saying she wanted “an artistic one that would last forever” rather than “the typical boring family album.”
Gucci wedding looks
The couple wore Gucci for the ceremony, with Rodríguez in a white silk faille skirt suit and matching satin shoes featuring the brand’s signature silver horsebit detail. Ronaldo wore a custom light beige cotton suit and loafers, while their children wore matching outfits.
Gucci’s artistic director, Demna, told Vogue: “It felt incredibly special to dress Georgina and Cristiano for this moment, knowing their love story began in a Gucci store in Madrid. There is something so romantic about it—a beautiful circle closing, almost like a modern fairy tale”.

The wedding was a deliberately private affair, with only the couple’s five children and four witnesses in attendance.
The marriage certificate listed Rodríguez’s sister Ivana as a witness, alongside Ronaldo’s childhood friend Miguel José and two others.
“I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home,” Rodríguez told Vogue before the ceremony.
“Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate—that’s more unusual for us.”
Rodríguez, who wore a 50-carat diamond necklace from Chopard’s Garden of Kalahari set, described the day as “exactly as I’d imagined it. Intimate, full of love, and with our family in the most important starring role. I couldn’t hold back the tears.”
After the ceremony, the couple drove to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima for a blessing before returning to their home in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the following day for the start of Ronaldo’s football season.
Ronaldo, 41, has said this will be “probably my last year of football” and that he wants to “leave a spectacular legacy”.
