Africa is fast becoming a powerhouse of private wealth, as the continent experiences a rapid rise in the number of millionaires. Once viewed primarily as a region facing economic challenges, Africa is now establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing markets for high-net-worth individuals globally.
With a population exceeding 1.5 billion and an economy expected to reach $29 trillion by 2050, the continent is creating millionaires at a rate that rivals more established economies.
The recently released Africa Wealth Report 2025 by Henley & Partners and New World Wealth predicts a 65% increase in the number of African millionaires over the next decade.
These figures reflect not only the growth of prosperous cities and an expanding middle class, but also Africa’s rising influence in the global financial landscape, signalling a new era of economic opportunity and wealth creation.
