Adeyemi Shines as Dortmund Beat Mainz

Borussia Dortmund secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Mainz on Saturday, largely inspired by striker Karim Adeyemi.

The win, Dortmund’s fourth of the season, keeps them just two points behind league leaders Bayern Munich and maintains their unbeaten run ahead of their midweek Champions League match.

Adeyemi was instrumental, setting up the first goal—scored by Daniel Svensson following a swift counter-attack—and scoring the second himself just 15 minutes later after a one-two with Julian Brandt.

The striker’s speed proved a menace throughout the match, ultimately drawing a red card from Mainz goalkeeper Robin Zentner after beating him to a loose ball in the second half.
