World number one tennis player Jannik Sinner and number two Carlos Alcaraz will compete in an exhibition match in South Korea in January, organisers announced on Monday.

After claiming his first Paris Masters title on Sunday, Italy’s Sinner overtook his Spanish rival to become the world number one.

The top two players in men’s tennis will clash in the “Hyundai Card Super Match” on January 10 in Incheon, close to Seoul. According to a Hyundai press release, this will be the first opportunity for local tennis fans to see both top-ranked players in action.

Alcaraz, who has voiced concerns about the excessive number of matches on the ATP Tour, currently leads their head-to-head matchup 10-5.

Sinner will be defending his Australian Open title at the first Grand Slam of 2026, which is set to kick off in Melbourne on January 18.
