France captain Kylian Mbappé has filed a claim worth 263 million euros ($305 million) against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as part of a mounting legal battle over his contract and treatment at the club.
PSG responded with a countersuit for 240 million euros in Paris’ labour court, citing a failed 300-million-euro transfer to the Saudi side, Al Hilal, which Mbappé reportedly declined.
The 26-year-old initially complained in June, alleging that PSG sidelined him during the start of the 2023–24 season and forced him to train with players the club were trying to offload after he rejected a new contract.
According to Mbappé, this approach was unfair and has affected other players as well, prompting the French players’ union to file a grievance last year.

Mbappé was excluded from PSG’s 2023 pre-season tour of Asia and missed the opening game of the season, but returned to the squad after discussions with the club.
After seven seasons in Paris, Mbappé joined Real Madrid on a free transfer last summer, reportedly earning an annual salary of 30 million euros.
During his time at PSG, he scored 256 goals in 308 appearances, though the club went on to lift the Champions League trophy after his departure.
