Three nominees—Kayode Are (Ogun), Aminu Dalhatu (Jigawa), and Ayodele Oke (Oyo)—had previously been screened by the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.

The 65 candidates submitted recently have been referred to the same committee for screening within a week.
