The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, on Monday arrived at the Government House in Port Harcourt for a visit to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Ribadu led a Nigerian government delegation that included the Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi, and the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Lawal.
As part of an ongoing federal mission in Rivers State, the oil-producing team is starting a high-level inspection of key locations.
Other members of the delegation include the Director-General of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, Chukwuemeka Woke.

The officials began their visit at the Port Harcourt International Airport, where members of the Ogoni Mothers Union and other Ogoniland stakeholders received them at the VIP wing.
Following their meeting with Governor Fubara, the delegation is expected to proceed to Ogoniland for a series of inspections and engagements with local stakeholders.
Their itinerary includes inspections of ongoing works on the East–West Road, a visit to the Yorla Oilfield spill site in Kpean Community, and stops at the University of Environmental Technology, Ogoni; the Gokana Oil Facility and Hospital in K-Dere; the Industrial Park site; and Taabaa General Hospital.
The officials are also scheduled to meet the Ogoni Dialogue Committee to discuss environmental remediation, infrastructure development and security issues in the area.
