The operation was carried out by officers from the Assakio Division in collaboration with local vigilantes, who stormed the hideouts of kidnappers in Angara and Fadaman Bauna villages within the Lafia East Development Area of Lafia Local Government Area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, January 9, in Lafia.
