United Nigeria Airlines has apologised to actress Bolaji Ogunmola over a flight disruption that left her stranded in Ekiti.
Ogunmola had earlier criticised the airline for repeatedly delaying her flight from Wednesday before eventually cancelling it, saying the disruption caused her significant professional and financial losses.
She disclosed that she had invested between ₦15 million and ₦20 million in preparations for her film project, TOC, before the incident occurred.

In a statement shared on Instagram, the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuke Uloka, explained that the cancellation resulted from unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
He hinted that the airline notified passengers through email and text messages.
Uloka stated that the airline reinstated the flight on January 8, even though the Ekiti–Lagos route was not part of its scheduled operations for that day.
The airline also extended an apology to all affected passengers, including the actress, acknowledging the inconvenience caused.
United Nigeria Airlines said it complied fully with the NCAA Consumer Protection Regulations during the disruption and reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety, operational excellence, and improved customer service.
