JAMB Opens 2026 Direct Entry Applications

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) programme.

In a statement posted on its official X account, the board stated that registration “commenced today, Monday, 2nd March 2026 and will end by Saturday, 25th April 2026.”

JAMB explained that the entire registration procedure — including the purchase of e-PINs and application documents — can only be completed through its accredited state and zonal offices across the country.

JAMB Opens 2026 Direct Entry Applications

Direct Entry provides an alternative admission route for candidates holding recognised qualifications such as a National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate, A-levels, or other approved equivalents. Eligible applicants may secure admission directly into 200 level at universities, without sitting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The exercise follows shortly after the conclusion of registration for the 2026 UTME, which closed on 28 February.
