Direct Entry provides an alternative admission route for candidates holding recognised qualifications such as a National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) certificate, A-levels, or other approved equivalents. Eligible applicants may secure admission directly into 200 level at universities, without sitting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The exercise follows shortly after the conclusion of registration for the 2026 UTME, which closed on 28 February.
