Four people were killed on Thursday when a small single-engine plane crashed in the central Mexican state of Puebla, authorities said.

The aircraft went down around 12:00 pm local time (1800 GMT) shortly after taking off, landing in an industrial park in Santa Ana Xalmimilulco, according to the Puebla state security office.

Local resident Vicente Hernandez told AFP that the plane attempted to regain altitude but was already flying very low before plunging nose-first into the ground.
