U.S. Vice President JD Vance has called on the Vatican to limit its focus to moral issues, following a growing dispute between President Donald Trump and Pope Leo regarding Iran.
During an interview on Fox News’s “Special Report with Bret Baier,” Vance suggested that religious leaders should refrain from interfering in the administration’s strategic decisions.

The vice president emphasised that while the Church has a role in moral guidance, American public policy should remain the sole territory of the president.
His comments highlight the friction between the White House and the Holy See as they navigate conflicting views on international relations and Middle Eastern diplomacy.
