Russian strikes across Ukraine injured 25 people in at least four regions on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Officials disclosed the incident, saying in the northeastern city of Sumy, Russian drones wounded 15 people and destroyed apartment buildings and a medical facility.
Also, the official added that three people were wounded in aerial attacks in the northeastern Kharkiv region and another three in the eastern city of Sloviansk and four more were wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the governor disclosed this on social media.
Rescue workers in the night tried to extinguish cars set ablaze in the attacks and helped evacuate residents from the damaged buildings.
“Due to the threat of repeated attacks, rescuers had to suspend their operations several times and move to a safe location,” the emergency service said.

The Ukrainian air force noted that Russia launched two missiles and 143 drones in the barrage, adding that its air defence units had intercepted one missile and 116 drones.
Russia expected its invasion to swiftly overthrow Ukraine’s government, but more than four years later, the war has become Europe’s deadliest conflict since World War II, with hundreds of thousands killed and millions displaced on both sides.
