The White House refused to provide specific comments on Friday regarding a new negotiation proposal submitted by Iran aimed at ending the ongoing war.

Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly stated that the administration does not provide details on private diplomatic discussions.

Despite the silence on the specifics of the proposal, Kelly emphasised that negotiations are ongoing to protect the national security of the United States in both the short and long term.
