The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has mandated that all educational institutions transition to remote learning for the remainder of the week.
This directive, issued by the Ministry of Education, follows a series of attacks that have recently targeted the nation.
The Ministry of Education announces the implementation of distance learning from Tuesday, 5 May 2026, until Friday, 8 May 2026, for students, teachers, and administrative staff across nurseries and all public and private schools nationwide.

According to an official statement shared on social media, the shift to virtual classes will begin on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. This temporary measure is currently scheduled to remain in effect through Friday, May 8, 2026.
