Kane Hat-Trick Seals Bayern Cup Double

Harry Kane scored a second-half hat-trick as FC Bayern Munich defeated VfB Stuttgart in the German Cup final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on Saturday to complete a domestic league and cup double.

Both sides battled to a goalless first half before Bayern broke the deadlock after the interval.

Kane opened the scoring in the 55th minute, heading in a well-delivered cross from Michael Olise.

Kane doubled the advantage in the 80th minute after turning smartly onto a pass from Luis Díaz before finishing calmly.

The England captain completed his hat-trick in stoppage time from the penalty spot to cap a commanding display and secure victory for Bayern.

The triumph completed an outstanding campaign for Bayern, who had already retained the Bundesliga title and lifted the German Supercup earlier in the season.

The German Cup success was Bayern’s 21st title in the competition and their first since the 2019–20 campaign.

Kane finished the season with 61 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions and recorded his second successive hat-trick, continuing his superb form since joining Bayern in 2023.
