A UEFA panel of judges named Paris Saint-Germain’s Georgian winger, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Champions League Player of the Season on Sunday.
The 25-year-old winger remained a constant menace throughout PSG’s successful title defence, racking up 10 goals and six assists across 16 matches.
During Saturday’s final against Arsenal, Kvaratskhelia won the crucial 65th-minute penalty after an opponent scythed him down in the box, allowing Ousmane Dembele to equalise from the spot before PSG ultimately secured a 4-3 shootout victory.
UEFA’s technical observer board, which includes football luminaries like Gareth Southgate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Rafa Benitez, voted for the award and described his season as both pivotal and dazzling.

The panel highlighted his standout performance in the semifinal first leg against Bayern Munich, where he scored a beautiful curling equaliser and added a fierce second-half strike.
Kvaratskhelia also scored three goals against Chelsea in the round of 16, netted one against Liverpool in the quarter-finals, and previously scored in PSG’s 2025 final victory over Inter Milan.
