Kenyan police have launched investigations into the death of a final-year student of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Matuu Campus, who died after allegedly being thrown from a moving bus along Thika Road.
The student, identified as Eugene Mutuku, was travelling in a bus belonging to Nicco Sacco, which operates along the Nairobi–Juja route, when the incident occurred.
According to Nation Africa, police officers in Kasarani are currently searching for the driver and conductor of the bus linked to the 19-year-old’s death on Friday.
A video that surfaced after the incident shows Mutuku falling from the moving vehicle as it sped towards Nairobi, with a motorist recording the scene reacting in shock. There are claims that the student may have been pushed out following a dispute over a Sh20 fare balance.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 12:40 a.m. along Thika Road. Mutuku was said to be on his way to an attachment placement at a hospital and was expected to complete his studies later this year.

Kasarani Sub-County Police Commander Nicholas Kiprono confirmed that the bus, registration number KDV 713J, has been impounded as investigations continue.
“We have impounded the bus, registration number KDV 713J, and we are treating the matter as a serious incident as investigations continue,” he said.
Kiprono added that the driver and conductor, identified as Karumba and Otieno, are still at large.
“The driver and conductor are not in custody. We are actively pursuing them and working with other agencies, including NTSA and the Sacco leadership, to trace and arrest them,” he said.
Police say it is still unclear whether Mutuku fell accidentally or was pushed out of the moving vehicle.
In an interview with online media platforms, Mutuku’s elder brother said he suffered severe injuries and was in significant pain before his death at Kenyatta National Hospital, with injuries reportedly affecting his waist and mouth.
