News Central TV has organised a Town Hall in Oyo State, Nigeria, themed “Oyo at a Crossroads: Security, Safety and the Future”.
The event, which commenced on Thursday, 11 June 2026, brought together residents to deliberate on news of bandit attacks in Kwara and Oyo States, Nigeria.
The bandits abducted 32 and 46 individuals, including 18 primary pupils, 7 secondary students, teachers, and a toddler in Oyo State. A few days after the incident, bandits gruesomely killed two teachers in captivity, including a mathematics teacher named Michael Oyedokun.
Delegates and residents in attendance engaged actively, offering diverse perspectives, their views, pertinent issues and challenges regarding insecurity within the state and the nation at large.
