President Bola Tinubu has appointed Abdulrazak Namdas, a former House of Representatives spokesperson, as the new Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency, the presidency announced on Saturday.
Namdas replaces Dakorinama George, who resigned to contest an elective position in his home state, according to a statement by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.
Namdas represented the Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa and served as spokesperson to the Eighth House of Representatives.
He was also an aspirant in the recent Adamawa governorship primary election and previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa.

The president also appointed former lawmaker Patrick Obahiagbon as Executive Director of Strategy and Commercial at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).
He replaces Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who resigned to pursue his political ambition in Edo State.
Obahiagbon, a former member of both the Edo House of Assembly and the House of Representatives, is known for his legislative experience.
Tinubu also re-appointed Chukwuma Umeoji as Executive Director of Corporate Services at NDPHC. Umeoji, a former House of Representatives member representing Aguata Federal Constituency in Anambra, returns to the position after resigning to pursue his political ambition.
All appointments take immediate effect, the presidency said.
