Former Bayelsa East Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has commended President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria’s security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State.
In a post on his verified X account, the media entrepreneur described the operation as proof of what effective leadership, intelligence and professionalism can achieve.
Murray-Bruce praised President Tinubu for his commitment to Nigerians’ safety and applauded the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for coordinating the country’s security efforts.

He equally commended the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security personnel involved in the operation, describing the safe return of the victims as a victory for the nation.
His remarks followed the Presidency’s confirmation that the abducted pupils and teachers were rescued alive during a coordinated security operation.
According to the Presidency, eight suspected kidnappers were arrested, several others were killed, and the victims were freed without any negotiations or concessions to the abductors despite demands for the release of one of their detained leaders.
Following their rescue, the victims expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and the security agencies for securing their freedom, while both the President and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde commended the operatives for the successful mission.
