Bandit Commander Kachalla Yellow Killed in Zamfara

A notorious bandit commander identified as Kachalla Sani Yellow has been killed in Zamfara State during a gun battle with local hunters and Civilian Joint Task Force members, security sources said.

The bandit kingpin was neutralised in Anka Local Government Area after vigilantes repelled an attack by armed bandits, according to Daily Trust.

Kachalla Yellow was regarded as one of the influential commanders operating in Zamfara and had terrorised communities across Anka, Bukkuyum and Maru Local Government Areas.

He was linked to several attacks, abductions and other criminal activities across the North-West region.

Zamfara State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, confirmed the development.

Images of the bandit commander’s remains have circulated on social media, generating reactions across the state.
