Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has described Spain and France as the two strongest teams at the FIFA World Cup, expressing confidence that La Roja can defeat Les Bleus in their semi-final clash.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s last-four encounter, the Barcelona star said Spain had nothing to fear despite France’s impressive run in the tournament.
Yamal said many football fans had anticipated the meeting since the competition began, describing it as a clash between the tournament’s two best sides.
He expressed confidence that Spain could overcome the French, insisting that if any team could beat France, it was Spain.

“Ever since the tournament got underway, many people have been hoping for this match.
“For me, these are the two best teams at this World Cup. We’re not afraid. If anyone can beat France, it’s us,” Yamal said.
Spain booked their place in the semi-finals after defeating Belgium in the quarter-finals, while France advanced with a victory over Morocco.
Both teams entered the tournament as leading contenders for the title, with Spain chasing a second World Cup crown after their 2010 triumph and France seeking a third title following their successes in 1998 and 2018.
The winner of Tuesday’s semi-final will face the victor of the other last-four tie in the World Cup final.
