Spain winger Lamine Yamal has described Spain and France as the two strongest teams at the ongoing FIFA World Cup, expressing confidence that La Roja can overcome the French in their semi-final showdown.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s highly anticipated clash, the Barcelona star said many football fans had expected the encounter since the start of the tournament.
According to Yamal, the semi-final brings together the competition’s two standout teams, but he insisted Spain has what it takes to secure victory.

“Ever since the tournament got underway, many people have been hoping for this match. For me, these are the two best teams at this World Cup. We’re not afraid. If anyone can beat France, it’s us,” he said.
Spain reached the last four after defeating Belgium in the quarter-finals, continuing an impressive run that has established them as one of the tournament favourites.
France also booked their place in the semi-finals by overcoming Morocco, setting up one of the most eagerly awaited fixtures of the competition.
Spain is chasing a second FIFA World Cup title after their triumph in 2010, while France is aiming to claim a third crown, having previously lifted the trophy in 1998 and 2018.
The winners of Tuesday’s encounter will advance to the World Cup final.
