United Kingdom-based music promoter Otis Kubeyinje, popularly known as Baddest DJ Timmy, has intensified his public dispute with singer Timi Dakolo over an alleged £4,106 debt linked to a cancelled UK tour.
The disagreement began after the promoter accused Dakolo on social media of refusing to reimburse expenses incurred while preparing for the proposed tour. In response, the singer, through his legal representatives, denied owing any money and described the allegations as false, defamatory and damaging to his reputation.
Despite receiving a legal warning, DJ Timmy has continued to pursue the matter publicly by releasing audio recordings he claims feature a member of Dakolo’s team acknowledging the debt and promising that payment would be made.
The dispute centres on a planned UK tour scheduled for May 2026, which was expected to include performances in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London. Under the agreement, Revolve Entertainment was responsible for organising venues, production, travel, accommodation, transportation and other logistics.
Dakolo’s legal team argued that the tour was cancelled because the promoter allegedly failed to meet key contractual obligations, particularly regarding technical production requirements. They insisted the singer was not liable for any costs and demanded a public retraction and apology.
Meanwhile, DJ Timmy has also published invoices and receipts he said support his claims, while maintaining that the alleged debt remains unpaid. The disagreement has continued to attract widespread attention on social media, with both parties standing firmly by their positions.
