The Oyo State faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised Governor Seyi Makinde‘s administration over what it described as the poor state of key sectors.
The opposition party’s reaction followed a viral video showing an unidentified man complaining about the alleged absence of doctors and other medical personnel at Adeoyo State Hospital in Yemetu, Ibadan.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the APC’s Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, said the state government had failed to deliver quality governance despite increased financial resources from federal allocations, grants and interventions.

According to Sadare, the administration has focused mainly on salary payments, pensions and what he described as cosmetic projects while neglecting critical sectors.
He alleged that many government officials were not visible or effective in carrying out their responsibilities, claiming Makinde was running a one-man administration.
The APC also criticised the condition of public healthcare facilities, alleging that major hospitals, including LAUTECH Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso, Adeoyo State Hospitals in Yemetu and Ring Road, as well as several general hospitals across the state, had deteriorated.
The party further claimed that many public hospitals lacked functional laboratories and essential diagnostic equipment such as MRI and X-ray machines.
It described the viral video from Adeoyo State Hospital as evidence of deeper problems within the state’s healthcare system.
The party also raised concerns about the education sector, alleging that many public primary and secondary schools were in poor condition, with dilapidated classrooms and teachers facing excessive salary deductions.
The party warned that conditions could worsen before the end of Makinde’s tenure if urgent steps were not taken to improve public services and prioritise the welfare of residents.
