Syria Bus Crash Death Toll Rises to 35

A head-on collision between two passenger buses on the Damascus-Deir Ezzor highway in central-eastern Syria killed at least 35 people and injured 30 others on Saturday.

Syrian state media confirmed the figures, citing a health ministry official, while broadcasting footage of a bus engulfed in flames with wreckage scattered along the desert road.

The interior ministry reported that the incident involved a civilian bus and a vehicle transporting internal security forces personnel, though officials have not specified the proportion of security casualties.
