Mudryk Cleared to Play After Doping Ban

The Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency have cleared Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk to resume his career after resolving his appeal against a four-year doping ban.

Authorities originally suspended the 25-year-old Ukrainian international after a 2024 drug test revealed low concentrations of the prohibited substance meldonium.

Under updated WADA guidelines, low-level samples like Mudryk’s no longer trigger an anti-doping violation.

Chelsea Fined £10 Million Over Rule Breaches

The FA and WADA decided to end the appeal process because the current protocols would not report that concentration level today.

Mudryk accepted the charges and served a reduced period of ineligibility equal to the time he has already spent out of action.

The Chelsea winger, who has not played since November 2024 following his £62 million transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk, maintains that he never intentionally used a forbidden substance.

Chelsea welcomed the decision and confirmed they will immediately focus on reintegrating the winger into the squad under new manager Xabi Alonso.
