Russian strikes have killed three people, including a child, in Brovary district northeast of Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, according to a regional military official.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the regional military administration, said on Saturday that three people were killed and three others wounded in the attacks.

He said falling debris from the strikes damaged residential buildings and vehicles, while a fire broke out in a non-residential building.

ICC Concerned After Chad, Venezuela Exit

The attacks came as Ukrainian authorities warned residents in Kyiv of an incoming ballistic missile threat.

An AFP reporter in the capital heard about a dozen explosions as Ukraine’s Air Force issued an alert over the threat of ballistic weapons approaching from the north.

“An air raid alert has been declared in Kyiv due to the use of ballistic missiles,” the city’s military administration said, urging residents to take shelter.

Russia has significantly intensified its attacks on Kyiv in recent months, frequently using ballistic missiles that are difficult for Ukrainian air defences to intercept.

The latest strikes further reveal the continuing threat to Ukraine’s capital and surrounding areas as the conflict enters another period of heightened aerial attacks.
