Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has resumed training on an individual basis after medical tests following his collapse during the club’s friendly victory over RB Leipzig.

The Germany international fell to the pitch at the end of Bayern’s 3-1 home win on Saturday and required medical attention in hot conditions in Munich, where temperatures exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

According to AFP sports subsidiary SID, Musiala experienced dizziness, circulation problems and a feverish feeling after the match. The 23-year-old was not included in Bayern’s open training session on Monday but completed a separate individual programme earlier in the day at the club’s Saebener Strasse training centre.

German media reports have indicated that Musiala could return to full team training this week as Bayern prepare for Saturday’s Supercup meeting with Borussia Dortmund.

The midfielder’s latest setback comes after a lengthy spell on the sidelines during the 2025-26 season. Musiala missed the first six months of the campaign after suffering a broken ankle at the Club World Cup, which kept him out of competitive action for several months.

His return to fitness earned him a recall to the Germany squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, Germany’s campaign ended in disappointment after they were eliminated in the last-32 stage by Paraguay.

Musiala has been regarded as one of Bayern’s most important attacking players since breaking into the first team, and the club will be monitoring his recovery closely as the new season begins.

Bayern are expected to assess his condition in the coming days before deciding whether he will be available for the Supercup clash against Dortmund.
