The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored power supply following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation.
In a statement, TCN said it restored electricity supply at 4:08 p.m. on Sunday after completing work to address a fault on Apo Lines 1 and 2 between Towers T130 and T132.
The company said the outage was necessary to enable repairs on the affected transmission lines.
“Following the successful completion of OPGW latching on the 2x132kV Apo Transmission lines, power supply has now been fully restored,” TCN said in a statement.
The company thanked electricity customers affected by the outage for their patience and understanding.
TCN said it remained committed to maintaining a reliable and efficient transmission network to improve electricity supply across the country.
The agency announced on Saturday that several parts of Abuja will experience a temporary power outage on Sunday during scheduled maintenance at the 132kV Apo Transmission Substation.
According to TCN, the maintenance exercise was expected to run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and involved stringing and latching Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on the two 132kV Katampe–Apo Transmission Lines (Lines 1 and 2) between towers T130 and T132.
