Mbappe Scores Twice as Real Madrid Sink Rayo

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe scored two goals to lead the club to a commanding 4-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, moving Jose Mourinho’s side level on points with La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Mbappe opened the scoring early with a 14th-minute penalty before setting up Alvaro Carreras for Madrid’s second goal.

Jude Bellingham added a third before halftime following a sharp run and pass from Vinicius Junior, securing a comfortable advantage for the home side.

Rayo Vallecano responded early in the second half when Sergio Camello intercepted a pass and finished past Thibaut Courtois to make it 3-1.

Courtois then made several key saves to deny Rayo a second goal as the visitors pushed forward.

In stoppage time, Mbappe sealed the win by collecting a pass from Arda Guler and driving a low finish into the far corner for his seventh goal of the season across all competitions.

The victory helps Real Madrid bounce back from their previous league defeat against Real Betis and places pressure on Barcelona ahead of their match against Levante on Sunday.

Elsewhere in La Liga on Saturday, Racing Santander beat Alaves 2-1, Espanyol earned a 2-0 win at Osasuna, and Athletic Bilbao drew 1-1 with Elche.
