Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike pledged on Tuesday to mobilise massive grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential polls.
Addressing members of the APC-backed Rainbow Coalition in Port Harcourt, Wike declared that the political alliance will secure decisive victories for the president across Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike pointed to the administration’s nationwide infrastructure projects and economic reforms as key motivations for backing Tinubu, while dismissing internal friction within the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Defending the coalition’s strategy, Wike stated, “For the presidency, we will support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all of us. We have taken the decision that we must vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. So people who are calling themselves about the Rainbow Coalition, it has come to stay.”
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says the Rainbow Coalition will deliver Rivers State and Abuja for President Bola Tinubu in 2027, insisting that political disagreements and opposition criticism will not change the coalition’s position. https://t.co/NMoeY9NG81
