France coach Zinedine Zidane named captain Kylian Mbappe in his squad on Friday for upcoming Nations League matches against Italy and Türkiye.
Mbappe returns after recovering from a knee injury he suffered during Zidane’s debut win over Türkiye on September 25, an injury that forced him to miss France’s next three fixtures.
The Real Madrid forward has bounced back in peak form, scoring eight goals in seven club matches across La Liga and the Champions League.

Zidane handed a debut call-up to 23-year-old Paris FC attacking midfielder Pablo Pagis, while recalling Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram to cover for injured forwards Ousmane Dembele and Esteban Lepaul.
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni also returns after missing the previous international window.

In defence, Manchester United’s Leny Yoro and Chelsea’s Malo Gusto step in to replace Jules Kounde and Maxence Lacroix.
Les Bleus sit atop Nations League Group A1 with 10 points from four matches, holding a three-point lead over second-place Italy.
France will face Italy in Milan next Thursday before hosting Türkiye in Bordeaux three days later to complete their group-stage schedule.
The top two teams in the group will secure spots in the quarter-finals next March.
