In Zamfara State, troops have stepped up clearance operations in Maradun Local Government Area, targeting terrorist hideouts in Aljummu Hausa, Aljummu Fulani and Tunga Magaji villages.

The military said the operations had led to the clearance of several hideouts, restricted the activities of criminal groups and improved security in the affected communities.

In a related development, the Air Component of the Nigerian Air Force carried out air interdiction operations on November 5 against suspected terrorist locations in Babban Doka and Kuyumbana Forest in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

Captain Sinivie said the operation followed intelligence reports that terrorists linked to wanted kingpin Dogo Gide were gathering in the area to plan and coordinate criminal activities.

He added that troops were maintaining dominance over the area.

Operation FANSAN YAMMA reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining operations against terrorists and other criminal groups across its joint operational area.

The military also urged members of the public to provide timely and credible information to security agencies to support efforts to tackle security threats and protect lives and property.
