Judgment Reserved in The Constitutional Court (Concourt) against Jacob Zuma

South Africa’s former president, Jacob Zuma again failed to appear before the Zondo commission in Johannesburg on Thursday.

The commission wants the highest court in the land to send Zuma to jail for two years for defying its order to appear before the commission

The concourt hearing was conducted virtually as precaution over Covid-19.

One of the Advocates Tembeka Ngcukaitobi argued that Zuma should be ordered to pay the commission’s legal costs in bringing the contempt case against him.

He added that Jacob Zuma owes the court an explanation and failure to provide an explanation is simply part and parcel of the malicious behavior of Zuma.

Zuma supporters still believes his constitutional rights have been infringed.
