President Kagame Arrives Mauritania to Bolster Bilateral Ties

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has arrived in Mauritania for a two-day working visit to strengthen bilateral ties between both countries. He was received by President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani at Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport.

In January, Air Chiefs from Mauritania joined African Air Force leaders from thirty-one countries with a spirit of cooperation and a greater understanding of other countries’ capabilities at the 11th annual African Air Chiefs Symposium (AACS).

The chiefs and senior officials attended the five-day-event that ended on January 28, in Kigali, Rwanda. The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and US Air Forces Africa co-hosted the event.

While in Mauritania, Kagame is expected to visit the G5 Sahel Defense College, a regional institution that trains officers from the 5 countries of the Sahel and beyond. He will conclude his visit to the Northwest African country on Thursday, February 24.
