Residents confirmed that the victims were buried on Monday morning in Guga village after a mass funeral held in Gidan Sarkin Noma and Gidan Wawo communities in Bakori LGA.

Locals said many of the deceased were farmers from nearby communities, including Gidan Sarkin Noma and Gidan Wawo, who had come to the market to sell their goods.

Authorities and the police had not issued an official statement at the time of reporting.

Guga village has suffered repeated bandit attacks and kidnappings in recent years, forcing several residents to abandon their homes.
