Michele di Bari, the Prefect of Naples, confirmed in a statement that all the hostages were freed shortly after 1:30 pm, without serious injuries. Fortunately, no one was physically harmed during the hostage situation, though the atmosphere was tense.

In a bid to free the hostages, police resorted to breaking windows, as shown in footage from local media. Despite their swift intervention, the robbers escaped through a tunnel, according to the police source.

It remains unclear whether the criminals managed to escape with any stolen goods. Investigations are ongoing, but the incident has left the community on edge, highlighting the daring and unexpected nature of the heist.
