China’s commerce ministry launched an anti-dumping investigation into European Union (EU) imports of p-nitrotoluene on Saturday, signalling escalated economic friction days before scheduled high-level talks.

The Chinese commerce ministry stated that its anti-dumping inquiry will last 12 months, with an option to extend proceedings for an additional six months.
