For the first time in FIFA competition history, the winners of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will receive more than the iconic trophy and gold medals when they lift the trophy; the champions will also be awarded specially designed championship rings, introducing a tradition widely associated with American sports to the global football stage.
FIFA says the rings have been created as a lasting symbol of victory and will form part of a limited collection of 2,026 individually numbered pieces, a figure chosen to represent the year of the tournament.
Thirty of the rings will be presented to members of the winning team, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to supporters worldwide as an Official Licensed Product.
The move gives fans an opportunity to own a piece of World Cup history while celebrating the achievement of the tournament’s eventual winners.

The design of each ring will combine the competition’s heritage with the champions’ identity. One side will feature the FIFA World Cup trophy, while the other will be customised to reflect the winning team’s unique identity.
Each ring will be individually numbered, fitted specifically for its owner, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Following the final whistle, the winning captain and head coach will receive temporary rings during the celebrations. The 30 official championship rings for the victorious squad will later undergo customisation before being formally presented to ensure they are tailored to each recipient.
The introduction of championship rings adds a new element to the legacy of the FIFA World Cup, creating another way for players and supporters to remember one of football’s greatest achievements.
As the 2026 tournament reaches its conclusion, the rings will serve as a permanent reminder of the team that rises above the world’s best to claim the ultimate prize.
