Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has officially committed his future to the club, signing a new two-year contract with an option for an additional season.
The announcement comes just days after the 61-year-old German tactician guided the Catalan giants to their second consecutive La Liga title following a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid.
Flick expressed his immense satisfaction with the agreement, which keeps him at the helm until at least 2028, stating that he feels he is in the right place to continue building on his recent domestic success.
Since arriving in the summer of 2024 as a replacement for Xavi, Flick has overseen a highly productive era, securing two league titles, a Copa del Rey, and two Spanish Super Cups despite the club’s financial limitations.

However, continental success has remained elusive, with the team falling short in the Champions League knockout stages over the past two seasons.
Flick acknowledged that winning Europe’s elite competition remains a primary dream for the club and pledged to keep pushing the squad to reach that level next year.
With his future now secured, Flick has set an immediately ambitious target: reaching the 100-point milestone in the current league campaign.
To achieve this, Barcelona must win their remaining three matches, starting with a visit to Alavés on Wednesday.
The former Bayern Munich and German national team boss emphasised that while the title celebrations were significant, the focus must now return to the pitch to finish the season as strongly as possible.
