Retired Spanish tennis icon Rafael Nadal will return to the court in October to play before a live crowd for the first time since his retirement.
The Rafa Nadal Academy confirmed Wednesday that the 22-time Grand Slam champion will participate in exhibition matches to celebrate the academy’s 10th anniversary.
Nadal will host the event in his hometown of Manacor, Mallorca, competing alongside prominent rivals and friends from his two-decade career.
Organisers plan to reveal the full lineup of participating tennis stars in the coming days.

The 14-time French Open champion retired from professional tennis in November 2024.
