Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested several suspected drug traffickers in coordinated operations across different parts of Nigeria.

NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the arrests in a statement issued on Sunday, noting that a 75-year-old man and four female drug dealers were among those apprehended in Edo, Imo, Kano, Gombe, Ebonyi, and other states.

According to him, a breakthrough against opioid trafficking was recorded in Taraba State on Saturday, June 6, 2026, following credible intelligence that led to the interception of a truck conveying building materials from Onitsha, Anambra State, to Jalingo.
