The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has identified 15 local government areas in Lagos State and 19 others in Ogun State as moderate flood-risk zones for the current rainy season.

NEMA, in a notice shared on X on Tuesday, urged residents in the affected areas to take immediate preventive actions to mitigate the impact of flooding, which has become a recurring challenge in parts of Nigeria during peak rainy seasons.

The agency urged residents in the areas to clear drains, avoid floodwater, move away from riverine areas, and follow official alerts.
